I'm not sure about the specific program in anatomy, but I just completed the one year master's in molecular medicine and I'm happy I did the program. The classes are challenging, extremely detailed, but if you study and go to class you'll be fine. There were a lot of people in my program that brought their slacker attitudes from ugrad with them and they haven't done so well, but if you make an effort it will pay off. I would also suggest that you get involved and make the most out of the program as you can. All of the professors are really approachable and there's a lot of opportunities to get letters, research experience, plus volunteering and shadowing since moffitt is right next door, so I think it's definitely a lot more beneficial if you take advantage of what's around you...I didn't know anyone before I got there but I just looked over the professor's research interest, sent some emails, and a year later I'm in a great lab and have been the 2nd author on a paper with a few more on the way. A lot of the professors have been on the admissions committee for the med school and they'll be more than happy to give you advice. In terms of getting into med school with the programs, I'll have to give you an update after this cycle is over, but I've met with the admissions people at USF and they've been impressed with it. From what I understand, the people in charge of the various graduate programs (at least the molecular medicine program) are likely going to give the med admissions people a list of their top performers at program's end, hopefully to get them interviews at USF, but it's still a new program so this is all being worked out. Let me know if you have any other questions.
