Hi I'm new here and am wondering if anyone has experience with U of South Florida's post-bacc program (Biomedical Sciences degree). I'm applying there and would appreciate any info you have...pros/cons about the school and the area, Tampa. Thanks!

Hey, I'm a FL resident and am also thinking about USF but I could not find any information about the program. What is the curriculum? Do you take any med school classes? Also did you speak to the program director? Do they send a lot of students the USF med? Thanks for any info.

Well from what I understand it doesn't have a formal post-bacc program, but it's listed on aamc http://services.aamc.org/postbac/. You can complete the degree in 1 1/2 to 2 years and have met all the med school requirements. For the curriculum I just looked at the Biomedical degree requirements. It appears that all the classes are undergrad and that you don't take any from the med school. The advisor is in the chem department and so far I've found out from her that letters of recommendation are by individual profs, not a committee, and USF isn't linked with any med schools. Since it's not a formal post-bacc program I guess all that makes sense. If you find something else out let me know. 🙂
