I am using a Mac at work and I thought it'd be good to send out my secondaries from here because there's a printer I can use...but I'm worried about compatibility...The GW secondary wouldn't even open on this computer...are other people using their Macs to send their secondaries to places like Hopkins and Columbia? I've encountered certain electronic forms in applying for jobs online that say "don't use Macs" and I don't trust the med schools enough to have really investigated if their is compatible...anyone have firsthand experience?

Why add more uncertainty? Like most pre-meds I'm sure you'll be stressing out about more than just computer compatibility issues.....

If you must use your mac at work, then email AAMC--they should be able to help.

It sounds like you'd be stressed out if you used a macintosh no matter what anyone here told you. So just go use the PC in the library or whatever and put your mind at ease.

neuropower-

i used a mac last year on my applications and didn't have any compatibility problems. i wouldn't stress over it. i think there was a thread somewhere on here with people having problems with gwu's secondary.
