using earplugs during the test?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
At my testing centers, no.

They provide you with crappy ones.

I wish I could have used my own, because the guy sitting next to me made all sorts of coughing, hacking, wheezing noises. It was annoying to say the least.

But, they do have sound deadening ear-muffs.

I've heard of people able to bring their own ear plugs...note ear PLUGS, not ear phones/headphones. I haven't asked the testing center though

In response to the headphones, supposedly they don't work that great. So you may check w/ your testing center and see if you can bring ear plugs. Last thing you'd want is your score to suffer because some dweeb is distracting you by hacking/sniffling/tapping/shaking, whatever.

I was able to use ear plugs the only thing that sucked was that i had to buy a box of like 15 pairs because it was all the store had. I took them with me in the package and the lady had me open then and hand them to her and she picked two and squeezed them and gave them back to me and said if you start with these in you have to finish with these in because your not aloud anything on the desk or under the chair.

Does the package have to be sealed? The ones I get come in a paper package.
