Hey quick question, what are your thoughts on using letter of recommendations that were dated a year ago?

I was initially planning on applying this year but MCAT preparation hasn't been good to me. I don't feel ready at all (I hate physics!!!). I was thinking about taking the MCAT sometime later this year instead of May and then apply next year. The thing is Ive already asked 3 professors and 1 manager to write me a letter of recommendation. Can I still use them for next year?

Yeah, just let them know you won't be needing the letter for another year. Most people are happy to just change the date on their LOR, the content won't change significantly.

It's totally normal. You can ask them to future date the letters and submit to interfolio or just keep it with this year's dates. An LOR is an LOR.

FWIW, I had 5 letters, 3 were very current, but 2 were over 2 years old from professors that had moved on from the U.
Not a peep was said at any school, and I applied to a lot.
