Currently writing a secondary about community health and I was discussing how I was surprised to find out about something. I threw that comment in parentheses and ended it with an exclamation point. I understand it can come off as immature/unprofessional, but because this is an optional secondary, I wanted to write something more personal and slightly less robotic. Any opinions?
