Using Outside Study Resources for Regular Exams

My question pertains to using study aids, such as board review books and question banks, for the purpose of not only review but also test taking practice for regular exams. I have been trying to use the BRS books for practice questions, but their questions are far too straight forward and recall oriented to help me improve upon my weakness, which is answering board style questions. Would a qbank or study source, like gunner training, be useful since I am at a school with an integrated curriculum?

I'd be interested in this too. So far I've used Lippincott's illustrated Q&A review of Biochem and liked it, but that's all I've found.

Maybe try "Pre-Test" book questions.

I would use review books, but base what you review on what is presented in class. There are often things not in review books that you will be expected to learn.

In other words, don't blindly study from review books and expect to do well. Review books are a great way to review the basics and very important details in a concise way, but what your professor teaches you should be your first indicator of what to study in order to do well.
