I just took step 1 on Saturday, and I do NOT have a good feeling about it. I was trying for a good score-- got a 600 on the NMBE form 2 which translates into a 240, and thought I was in good shape for the real thing. I know I made at least one dumb mistake (it somehow came to me half way through the next block), and I'm sure I made others... I also didn't study drugs or microbio enough.

anyone else feel like they didn't do as well as they might have and still got a decent score? Why can't they just give us a "predicted" score at the end to avoid the 6 weeks of waiting?? AARRGGGHHH!!!!!!

I know what you mean. I walked out of the exam feeling a little sick to my stomach because I was expecting to feel much better about it. Over the next week, I began feeling better about it because I realized that I was only remembering the questions I had trouble with. My scores haven't come yet, but I've forced my self to not get worked up over the test until the scores do come. From reading posts on SDN, it seems like most people do not feel extremely confident walking out of the exam, but almost everyone scores above their NBME predicted score.
