USMLE average scores for Derm

Hi everyone

first i was happy to pass that exam and now, I am happy to learn that I did way better than I thought I actually did (i could have found out how I did from school rep but decided to hold off and wait for my score in the mail just to celebrate/savor passing for a couple days) .

I dont know if I am interested in derm, but I know ive always been obsessed with the skin and it would be really cool to help take care of ppl's skin. But now that Ive started rotations, Ive got to experience so many cool life changing aspects of medicine... and maybe derm is just as "life-changing" but I guess I wont know until I do a rotation in it.

Do you guys know where I could get info on the avg step 1 scores for derm residents?

for derm 250+ AOA is average. good luck

ok, found the link from your previous posts. looks like the avg is around 235. and roughly 35% have AOA status. not as bad as i thought.

ps- scootad... i HIGHLY doubt the AVERAGE derm resident has a step 1 ave of 250+. Actually per above link, you are way off

there's a dermatology residency application board on ezboard that my sister used to frequent (she recently matched in derm). some good info there.
