Hi,

Residency application is around the middle of september. If I get my step 2 cs reported the 12th of september, does this mean I can apply on the 15th or is there some other process that needs to happen after the score report of step 2 cs (which is the last step needed for application)? It would suck if a secondary process would delay my application.

As long as your score is released by the time you apply, it will be on your transcript. If it’s not released by then, then you just have to retransmit your transcript after you receive your score.

September 5th, 2018 is the official day to start sending your application to ACGME programs. Programs will have access to your application ONLY on September 15th. Any application sent between the 5th and the 14th will be stamped 15th (it won't show that you applied early or late). In your situation, you can either apply on the 5th and release your CS score when you receive it or wait until you receive your CS score on the 12th and apply with a complete application the very same day. Regardless, nobody will see your application before the 15th. There is nothing else to do once you receive ur CS score aside updating your transcript on ERAS (if applied before CS results).

Best of luck

Just to piggyback with the above, do not delay your application waiting on CS if for some reason it's not back, ERAS is easier to update than med school applications were.

Am I at a big disadvantage if my Step 2 CK score doesn't come out until after September 15th, due to some circumstances I am unable to take Step 2 until late August probably.

Better if you had it earlier, will then depend upon your COMLEX level 2 score. Some allo programs are happy with COMLEX scores. It will also depend upon the specialty you're looking at.
