Does USMLE Step 1 Prometric Locations really matter? I've been thinking of taking my Step 1 in Canada, which probably means that the prometric center has close to zero experience in administrating the USMLE, vs. a center that's close to an american medical school that has a lot of experience with USMLEs.

Thanks!

does taking it in a country outside the USA , say Canada affect your score differently as opposed to taking it in the USA. I heard international students get curved based on other international students scores any idea??

nope. the exam is the exam, the same no matter where you go.

Um, you do realize tons of Canadian medical students as well Canadian Caribbean student take the USMLE.

There are currently 3000 Canadian students studying aboard, mostly in the Caribbean and most take the USMLE at home during breaks. Also lets not forget the foreign MDs who migrate to Canada from countries like India and China who take the USMLE along with MCC exams.

Its actually hard to even find a date for the USMLE in a lot of Canadian cities.
