usmle practice test easier than "real" exam

Hey everybody,


this is a question rather for the one who already gave step 1.
I just did those 153 practice question on usmle.org
What was your experience > are they the same level as the real thing, or a little bit easier?

Would be glad if someone would post an answer...

I found them to be the same level of complexity/difficulty as the real thing. but i would highly recommend that you do the 4 NBME exams, so you end up having gone over 950 questions that are written by the authors of Step 1.

I'd say about 10-15% were tougher, but most were on par w/the free 150. I felt like my test was a combination b/t the free 150 and NBME 3.

Oh no, I was actually glad to hear others found them to be similar to the real thing
