hi all,
I'll preface this by saying I'm a Canadian med student and intend to write the usmle only for the purposes of keeping fellowship options open, but I figure if I'm going to write it I may as well put in the effort to do well. I'm planning on writing some time mid-august, which I know is a lot of time left, but I also was going to work full-time this summer, meaning not nearly as much concentrated study time near the exam as most of you have discussed. I'm wondering if this is feasible? If so, when should I start studying? I find our curricula don't focus nearly as much on stuff needed for usmle prep, so any input would be appreciated.

Drop the job... thats like a pre-vet saying they want to take the mcat just in case.. you ll probably study for a week and then drop the idea all together.
