Hello,
I'm a Meds School freshman in Europe (Greece) and have been thinking for a while now to take on an academic career. Given that I have an interest in Epidemiology research, and since there is no significant progress in my country with regards to that field, I'm thinking about applying to a foreign university with more research opportunities. The US, of course, is the first that comes to my mind. Nevertheless, a similar alternative in Europe would also interest me (in Germany or the UK, for example). So I would like to ask the community what is the average USMLE score required to apply to a respected university abroad (US, UK, Germany - starting from universities like Hopkins, for example, or Ivy League in general). Is there any other examination I should look into? I'm especially interested in Epidemiology research, so I think I should mention that in the thread - and also that I'm in year 0 in Medicine School of Athens, so I'm considering taking USMLE step 1 around year 2 of my studies.
Any other suggestions, of course, would be very much appreciated.
