FA = First Aid (the most popular study book for Step 1 and, I would guess, other step exams also)

NBME = National Board of Medical Examiners (the group responsible for administering Step 1)

UW= usmle world- a question bank

NBME 1, NBME 2- the specific practice test that you can buy from the NBME (ie test 1, 2)

BRS- board review series (a group of books for specific sections like path or phys)

RR- rapid review pathogy- Ie goljian

Goljian- a teacher who writes rapid review pathology

MMRS- micro made ridiculously simple- a micro study book

Costanzo- the person who writes the BRS phys books, also some people refer to the her larger text (ie not BRS) as costanzo phys

HY- High Yield series of review books- like BRS as group of books.
