How close do you think USMLE World is to the real thing? I know it is meant to be a bit harder but I mean like the content of their questions, do you guys think it has the right distribution of questions? I seem to get a lot of like... cell biology type questions (like second messenger systems) etc and I was wondering if there are a lot of those on the actual boards because it didn't seem to be a major section in FA.

I thought the questions were very representative of my actual test. Yes, I got a ton of 2nd messenger questions on my actual step 1. Very high yield little factoids. There are two pages I had bookmarked for this and read over and memorizes extremely thoroughly... One is in Endocrine, the other is in the Pharmacology section of the FA. I would also expand them a bit and include the G subtype attached to each, how they work, etc. Also, definitely know how they function in SMC physiology too... that is very high yield for the test. (MLCK, MLCK Phosphatase, etc.)

I would give page numbers, but after a black out night and an oil drum with my step one materials that I didn't think I could resell you can imagine why I can't get you those right now 🙂
