I plan to buy First Aid 2014 edition. I am not taking the USMLE until 2016, so would 2014 still be good enough to buy or should I wait until the edition of the year I'm taking the exam.

Yea, I have the 2013 edition and I was wondering the same thing.

I can't imagine any major changes happening to the test and/or medicine in general that would completely invalidate the older models...especially since we use a lot of textbooks whose most recent edition is 2010 or older.

If something major comes up, I'm sure we'll hear about it. Especially if we stay active in this forum.

I would recommend just buying an older version on the cheap (I bought mine from an older student) for your first year then buy the new version for your second year and your exam.
