Hello guys,
I'm really really confused and need your help. I need to start deciding where is my destination USN or USC. Both have so many cons and pros. On one hand USC is much more expensive but a very good reputation. USN is 3 years but a 90% passing policy. Once you've passed your board, does it really make a difference where you've graduated from? Ant help on this matter would be really appricated!!!!!
THANKS!!!! 🙄

If you want to practice in S. CA, go to USC.
If you just graduated from university and still early 20s, go to USC.
You will have much more things to experience in USC; various activities, great networks and a fantastic football team.

If you want to practice in Nevada, go to USN.
If you are a career changer or want to get in & out faster, go to USN.

I don't think it will make a lot of difference as long as you are licensed. If you want to work at retail, there is no difference at all. If you are pursuing other areas, the residency will make the difference, so school matters less. However, USC may help you out better finding residency programs in CA, so again if you want to practice in CA, go to USC.

first, where do u live?
second, how old are u?
third, what is your finance stat?
and actually it is not matter which school you attend , as long as you have a license!

As far as tuition is concerned, I wouldn't say USN is much cheaper. At most it's 2-3k less, more towards 2 though. And yes, if you want happening, then USC. If you want to just get in and out, USN baby! As far as happening, Vegas is happening but Ive got to be honest, after living there, the strip would be like your local mall. You get bored...fast.

I guess you are referring USC as University of South Carolina; if not, I am not sure where you got the tuition information from for USC (University of Southern California).

Based on the last year's tuition, USC (University of Southern California) was ~32k and USN was ~30k.

USC: 32k * 4 = 128k
USN: 30k * 3 = 90k

It is not 2-3k less but 38k less. USN is not a cheap school but it is much cheaper than USC though.

wow... thanks guys!

I think i'm going to USN.... we are talking about 40K here...

I hear the NAPLEX is really really easy, compared to the old test California use to have. The pharmacists I've talked to say I will hardly even need to study between finishing school and taking the test.

I understand the 99% of USC but whoever i spoke with from USN they've passed the NAPLEX the 1st time. Do u guys still think thats something i need to look into?

Hi,
I have been accepted by both Albany, NY. and by USN (Nevada). Both have 3-year programs. Albany will start this summer in May, 23. USN will star in August, 21.
I am really confused & not deciding yet. After all consideration, I just ignore the tuition difference and the weather accounts;
I am now just concerned about the school (reputation and accreditation and USN is already accredited yet or a accreditation candidate?), the cirriculums, the grading systems (Albany is A, B, C grading, and USN is 90% passing policy) & the programs...
Could you please help me to figure out which one the best choice or anyone has any different opinion? Thanks a lot & good luck to everybody.
Chao! 👍 :luck: :luck: :luck:

I agree with Imkim01. USC is a good school. If you are graduated from USC, it is easier to find the job you want and you will have a strong knowlege about medication.
