USN waiting list

Today I found out that I am on the waiting list (top 25) at USN and I was just wondering if people from the list really have a shot to get in. If any of you who are already attending the school could give me some info about the waiting list that would be great. This is the only school that I applied to this year and I really want to go there; but if there is only slight or no chance that I will move from the waiting list to accepted list then I don’t want to be hopeful for the next month and eventually find out that I am rejected. 🙁

How did you find down that you are on the waiting list ? call ? letter ?

I have called them 2 days ago and got my answer, but Dr. DeYoung said that letters will be send out in next couple weeks because the list is still changing. If you find out how many people from the waiting list got accepted last year let me know.
