Hi All,

I have a question about applying to USP Pharm D as a transfer to first year in the 6 year program. I Graduated from the University of connecticut with a 3.64 political science and have 3 years experience as a financial analyst (still working) but am looking to change careers and enter pharmacy. Besides from graduating top of my class, great corporate work experience, and community involvment do I have any chance of getting in to the first year of the USP Pharm D program? In past threads I have read that USP does not take transfer students. Its hard for me to think that in applying vs competing HS students, I have the work experience, study skills, and successfull work history. Any thoughts? Interview Oct 1st.

Also - if I can not get in, is there any way I can go to school full time to get the pre reqs and get into pharm school (in the philadelphia area)

What im trying to get across is a way to get into pharmacy school. I have the dedication and work ethic to make it just need a method to make it in.

Thanks guys!
Rex

They really let you apply as a high school student even though you had all the credits. Well, I guess that is good then. I did not know they allowed somebody with college credits to apply as a high school student. I guess other schools are Temple and jefferson in the Philadelphia area. Temple is very hard to get in and Jefferson is not too bad.

You really do have an interview? Then that is great!
