Way back when I got in, the USP merit grant was $7000/year. I call this the USP Tax Writeoff because it's not really a grant, as everyone got it. I think I got the grant at the same time I got the acceptance. Not sure what the process is now, but that school's not worth its sticker price (and neither is Duquesne).

I heard they don't even give out the $7000 anymore. pretty lame.

Hey DEVILS!

Congratulations on getting into USciences!

I can honestly say that my years at USciences are ones that I will never forget. The level of education is unparalleled and the campus is constantly growing and improving...they just added a new Starbucks! The coursework is challenging and requires you to work hard, but all the students here know that it will all pay off once you graduate. On top of all that, USciences students are in the top of the nation for receiving the highest salaries during their careers! Check out the link!

Good luck making your college choice! And hopefully I'll see you on campus 🙂

This (identical) post appears on various threads about USP, so I am questioning this poster's motives. Yes, aware of the salary page. Yes, that is because a high percentage of this school is pharmacy students, who are traditionally highly paid, so it's not surprising. PM sent to this poster. Just to let you know, such enthusiasm is not representative of the school, at least in my year.

Lol, sounds like a marketing ploy..

We have "paid bloggers". They are students that are paid work-study money to blog about this school. This person refused to respond to my question of whether he/she is a paid blogger. He/she also asked me in another thread to describe my negative experiences at USP, and I did. Hope I didn't say anything too revealing.

That's rediculous. I feel like the best thing for a school to do is let their program speak for itself. If everythings good then the message will spread. As soon as I read all these USP identical posts about how fraking AMAZING the school is, it makes me very suspicious and immediately question the reputation of the school. Especially when a student who goes there refudiates what the "paid blogger" says! I have now added USP to the schools I would be cautious about.
