So is anyone else mainly deciding between University of Toledo (Medical College of Ohio) and Wright State University School of Medicine (WSU)? Just curious what the pros and cons of the schools are....this seems like a great palce to learn more about them!

I'm actually starting at UT in the fall and my roommate is going to WSU in the fall... so i dunno if what i say will help...

i think it depends on personal preference. The education is going to be very similar. From what i hear from other pre-meds the only knock on UT is its location. However, I have yet to see a med student from UT that was unhappy. They all seem to love the school.. I don't really know much about the WSU students, but i do know that there are several who chose WSU over "better" schools..

I would choose where you feel you would be most comfortable and could save the most money... I used to live in the dayton area and beavercreek/fairborn is a very safe and nice place to live. I like the suburban feel it has.. If you like a more urban city than you might want to choose Toledo... The price is pretty close... thats all i have.. sorry if its not helpful.. i was just writing as i thought of stuff..

here is a link to info on toledo

I also PMed a moderator for some questions and this is what he said about UT ( he goes to UT)

I'd have to say that the hands-down best part of going to school here is the supportive atmosphere. We have a great student body, a great faculty and a great administration that really cares about the students well-being. If I am having trouble (academic, personal, etc) I know I have the support of the school and they will help me get through it. I have hit a few bumps already (knee surgery during M1, I'm still fighting with insurance companies... the dean of students personally set me up with a servicing agent to help). This is probably the most uniformly supportive environment I've ever been in

Awesome post! thank you... if you think of anything else, please feel free to share it.

I have never seen two schools that are so similar (in terms of cost, education, etc...). I chose WSU over Toledo because of location, and because I have a lot of friends at WSU, and will have lots of support. But when I thought about it, I didn't really have any "legitimate" reasons to pick one over the other.
