Has any one gotten interviews from UT-southwestern, BCM, UT-Houston? I applied all of them but haven't heard anything. Only heard from UT-Galveston.

i heard from ut-san antonio a long time ago. i also heard from baylor (dallas).

sorry that neither of them are the places you were asking about.

by the way, does anyone know the difference between baylor university medical center in dallas and baylor college of medicine in houston. is one of them "better" than the other, i.e. a better place to train? i looked at us news and baylor-houston's med school is ranked fairly high, but under the hospital rankings, baylor-dallas was ranked in various specialties while baylor-houston received no mention. can anyone explain this to me? thanks!

path19, have you applied these places I mentioned?

From my point of view, BCM is more research oriented. However, I really don't know which one is better in pathology. UT-southwestern is very strong in path.

Baylor College of Medicine, Houston vs. Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas

As far as I understand, these two entities have no official connection. As for US News Best Hospital Reports, look for The Methodist Hospital for BCM, Houston.

I think this info is correct. Can anyone confirm?

I heard from both UTSW and UT-Houston about 3 weeks ago. My application went in on Sept 2, so if your application was later than that, maybe they are still reviewing it.

Heard back from UTSW's director yesterday, and he told me that they will be mailing offers out "in a few days". Applied 3 weeks ago.
