Didn't see a thread for this year yet.
Is anyone applying for this cycle?

I am thinking about applying here. Only thing that's holding me back is that it's expensive than other schools and not fully accredited yet. But my PCAT is really low so i don't know if i should wait and retake it in January or just apply soon.

I had my interview last saturday too! But I haven't heard back yet. They said it takes up to 3 weeks and my friend last year heard back in 3 days so im hoping i should hear back this week or if not, 3 weeks from now. Please post on here if you do hear from them!

Good luck to everyone applying to this cycle! I'm still in the process of applying myself. I'm most nervous about the interview. If anyone has any tips or have already been accepted to this school for this admissions cycle or any previous ones, It would make me feel better if you would please post your stats (PCAT score, GPA, Experience at the time of acceptance etc.)

That's awesome! Hope to see you next Fall!
For the interview, just have fun and be yourself. I was a little nervous, but I got through all of the stations and the staff are really friendly and nice and they’ll make you feel welcomed and relaxed. The math and writing portion of the interview was fairly easy as well. If any of you have questions, I’ll be happy to help. Good luck!

Hey guys! I recently got accepted here. Interview day is super draining because it lasted from about 8 am - 3 pm. I am far from an ideal applicant, so I'm going to share my stats in hopes to make someone feel better about their chances of getting in.

>GPA: Somewhere between 3.26 - 3.4 I totally forgot
>PCAT Composite: 66
- Writing: 3.0
- Biological Processes: 58
- Critical Reading: 87
- Quantitative Reasoning: 77
- Chemical Processes: 37 -- my chem was super low because I was doing Computer Science for a year and a half before taking the PCAT (so no sciences for a while), and I think they understood why my score was so low.
> Experience: None. I've never worked or volunteered in a pharmacy, but I have volunteered with a pre-pharm organization for community events.

Although, I have my own individual circumstances which I think helped boost my application. I am hispanic and female (diversity), both my parents are nurses (shows that I'm destined for healthcare?), etc.

P.S. don't be too concerned with the fact that this school is not fully accredited. A big part of this is because they don't have a graduating class yet. I think they said that they should receive their full accreditation in the summer of 2019. That is assuming they pass their 'inspection'. However, they told us that no school which has received Candidate Status didn't become fully accredited. But I definitely encourage everyone to consider the fact that tuition and fees for this school is over $152,000 for the 4 years, it is definitely an expensive school, which is a bummer because I'm super into their TBL.

How was the interview station’s questions like?

Basically if you are good at thinking on your feet, the questions are easy. For whatever you say, expect a follow up question. Just practice on scenario based questions if you are going to interview at this school.

I just got UNT accepted today from the Hold list last week, and will give up my waitlist position at UT Tyler since December. Good luck to y'all.

Hey I have a horrible pcat score like the worst ever! Literally below a 10. I have B’s in all my science and had a F in calculus. But I have a good logical reason for the F due to a family death immediate family death. My gpa is like 2.7 or 2.9. I have good work experience like 2 years great letter of recommendations. Good volunteer hours and at least I believe a good personal statement I’m applying for early decision this week I’m very scared that I will not even be looked at as a interview candidate. Also I haven’t took orgo to micro or A&P I’m taking and finishing them all this year. Anyone who’s been accepted help me out on what they possibly think? I have a fear of short timed test. And don’t want to retake??

In my opinion, retaking your PCAT is the best way to improve your stats, along with gpa boosting. Or you need a bachelor degree to cover all of that.
