The group interview consists of you and 2 other applicants as well as a faculty member, a PT from the community and a current student. They each take turns firing questions at each candidate and then at the end, they have the 3 candidates work together on a mini group project of sorts. You will have to give a mini presentation after conferring with each other for a few minutes.
The challenge is making sure you don't come off as too overbearing (talking the whole time, interrupting others.... in other words, making the whole interview about you) or come off as too timid (short answers with no substance, not participating very much in the group project, etc.). It's an interesting experience for sure.
As far as interviewing with Dr. Ward (APTA president), he is very, very nice and easy to talk to. I wouldn't worry about that one too much... 🙂
