Yeah! I'm glad I'm not the only one as well. I'm sure they are busy as well but she said to email her so that's why I expected a response I guess!

yeah exactly that's why I was freaking out a bit because it has been a couple of weeks since I sent it. lol
 
Just an FYI, Sharon "almost never" responds to her emails. You have to call her to find out any information you need. I remember emailing her a bunch of times when i was making inquiries about OT schools and she never responded to the emails but when i call her she always responds lol so maybe try calling?

I called and left a voicemail before I emailed lol but I know they are probably crazy busy trying to make the decisions. I shall try her again today or tomorrow thanks Futur3ot 🙂
 
Just spoke to Sharon and she said letters go out on Friday for those of us that have already interviewd (as if there's another interview date lol)!!!

I was thinking the emails would be going out in the morning since that was when we got the interview email and the info about the interview but I guess not!
 
Has anyone else called the school to find out? maybe there's a different response or maybe we are getting letters in the mail cuz it's past 12pm and i see no email lol. #nervouswreck

Was anyone on here accepted to UTMB that is actually going to accept and go to UTMB? And i'd call and ask about the amount of people on the waitlist though i don't think they'll disclose that?

Hi everyone! I am new to this forum, but I was accepted at UTMB and decided this would be perfect to get to know everyone else who has as well! Also, I am from Dallas and I will have to move.. So if anyone is looking for a roomate please let me know! 🙂

Hi Sandoora, i was accepted at UTMB as well and i also live in the Dallas area and will be moving!!! I haven't started looking at rooming yet but i probably will be looking for a roommate
 
I also live in Dallas! I haven't really looked into housing yet either :/ I thought about going down to look at places maybe. Also, I we should create a FB group! No I haven't really looked over the checklist yet. I wanted to wait until after the holidays.
 
Awesome! 🙂 Yes I agree, we should create a FB group. I will try to do it sometime this week ... That way it will be easier for us to communicate and exchange info. Can't wait to meet you all! About the checklist.. Good thing we have a lot of time to complete it!

I was accepted into UTMB and recently did my interview at UTHSCSA. If I get accepted into UTHSCSA, I will be accepting this position instead. I hope this helps. I wish you much luck!

I was accepted to UTMB. I also applied to an out-of-state school, and if I get in there I'll pick that one. I won't know until March about that school, though! There'll be people getting off the wait-list late, I'm sure.
 
I was accepted to UTMB, but I turned my admissions down in favor of Texas Tech.
 
when someone gets off the wait list could you please post it on here? I'm curious as to if notifications are sent out via email again. Also if you're super generous you could post how many prereqs you have completed and what your prereq GPA is since that is how we're supposedly ranked on the wait list

How do you know we are ranked on gpa??

it said so in the email that said my application was not selected but that I had been placed on the wait list, go back and read your email and it should say the same thing

I reread it but mine says that they are not ranking us this year. Hmm... But I did notice when I reread it that if says prerequisites have to be done by spring 2014. Does that mean we can't do a summer class?? :/
 
If they didn't rank us how would we get off the wait list? drawing names out of a hat? I guess call Sharon and ask about the summer class

Haha no I agree with you completely!! I don't know how they do it. They probably do rank us but won't tell us the ranking. Maybe that is what she meant?

Congrats @shannon and @Paige10 for getting off the waitlist! What a huge relief! Are you guys going to accept the spot?

I know no one probably knows this, but was everyone that interviewed that didn't get an acceptance letter put on the waitlist? That would be 75 people (yikes!). Or were there people that interviewed that were flat out rejected? I'm just trying to figure out how many people are on the waitlist.

Has anyone else been given a spot off of the waitlist?

Yes, I will be accepting the spot. I am not sure how the waitlist works. I know when I went for my interview they said everyone was going to be on the waitlist if you did not get accepted.
 
I accepted also. They didn't tell me everyone was going on wait list but I haven't heard of anyone who interviewed who got rejected. Last year there were only 30 of us on the wait list
