Any opinions on making this choice?? These are the best school's I've been interviewed at. I'm trying to weigh the city, the research opportunities, campus/institution resources, the connections I could make, med school, preparation for being a resident, and being a part of a program that is well respected by many residency programs.

Note: I am looking at cell/developmental/stem cell/cancer/bioinformatics/systems for my PhD. Possibly surgery, pathology, oncology, cardiology, or neurology for my MD focus. I'm open so it's hard to focus on a particular department to compare... I also like both cities, both very southern, no hustle bustle, except Dallas a bit, but I love driving and it has a lot of that.

Help? Thoughts?

They are both great programs. Hopefully you will be accepted to at least one of them.

Go to all of the re-visit opportunities that you have, spend a significant amount of time checking out the school departments and their faculty, and read the recent papers of the people with whom you are most interested. You could even e-mail the PI's about their current available projects. You won't pick a clinical field for another 7-8 years so don't worry about that yet.

UNC and UTSW would both get you where you want to go. They are both top-notch programs.

I think UTSW's acceptances have already gone out and the revisit is later in Feb. So if you have the chance, it's not likely to conflict with anything that may go on later in March or April.
