uv spectrum

What information is important here?
you mean UV-Vis spec right?

it measures how conjugated a molecule is, the more conjuated the longer the wavelenght the molecule can absorb because remember that conjuation increases the stability of a molecule so it can be absorbed at a lower wavelenght.

the spec runs from the UV range (the highest E/shortest wavelenght/aka least conjugated) to the Visibile range (ROYGBIV)

But how is infor helpful? I mean EK basically said the same thing, but what is the significance. i understand that that beer's law can be relevant to this info. What i'm trying to ask is how can MCAT test UV spec, since ther are really no formulas or graphs

The Uv spec will tell you if a molecule is conugated (if a molecule has alternating double and single bonds) or not. If you see an absorbance then the molecule is conjugated. The farther to the right of the absorbance the more conjugated it is. That is the only thing you need to know for the MCAT.

Which line (Green, Blue, Purple) represents the most conjugated molecule?

Blue is the most conjugated. Thanks for your explanation
