Hey all,

I got the "happy" letter today from UVA postmarked yesterday (the 15th). So, if you interviewed early there and are expecting to hear, your letter should be in the mail.

DocJ, I interviewed there on September 17th.

SMW, it's up near the top of my list for now. I am out-of-state in VA, so I am going to keep some of my in-state interviews and maybe some others. We'll see what happens. It's just a great feeling to know that I definitely have somewhere to go next year.

Congratulations!!! That must be wonderful. 🙂 I was really impressed with UVA when I interviewed there -- everyone was so nice, and the students seemed really happy.

I am waiting to hear but not holding my breathe, since I know I need to be realistic. I have to say though, your post made my heart beat really quickly. 🙄

Congrats again! I know this is nit-picky, but did you get a thin envelope or a package?

The envelope was normal letter sized (not manilla or anything), but it had about 8-10 pages in it, so it was pretty fat.

Good luck. When did you interview, and/or do you expect to hear soon?

Hi Swimgirl,
Thanks for the information! I interviewed at the beginning of October, and on my interview day they said letters would be mailed out on the 15th... so I have been thinking about this nervously all day. Maybe they just meant around the 15th, in which case I should just stop worrying about the mail.

Anyway, congratulations again! Do something fun to celebrate. 🙂
