Hey I have some questions regarding uveitis as a subspecialty in ophthalmology. I know one will be trained for diagnosing and treating inflammatory conditions, but are there any specialty surgical training? Do uveitis subspecialists do any surgery? By observation alone I see it is common for uveitis specialists to also have done training in retina or other fields - is there a reason for this other than getting more experience in retinal inflammatory disease or otherwise?
