Uvm dpt class on 2016

What do you guys think are the strengths of the UVM DPT? I was recently admitted but don't have a lot of contacts in Vermont (live in NY). Just curious how you know it's the right place for you?

Thank you!

BK- I went to UVM for my undergrad and it was great. Small classes, dedicated faculty, very supportive environment. I live in the Burlington area and know several people who went through the UVM DPT program and were very happy. There is a lot of emphasis on manual therapy, if that interests you.

HOWEVER, I might not be so sure if I had to pay out-of-state tuition!!

Thanks for the insight! I like keeping my options open until I absolutely need to make a decision 🙂

BK,
I have been at UVM for my undergrad in Exercise and Movement Science. I have loved the program and have worked and had classes with a number of the faculty that comprise the DPT program. They are great!! I can only relay positive things about UVM. Aside from the strong faculty and challenging program, Burlington is also a fun city. It is small enough so you can retreat to a quiet apartment, but there are fun things to do downtown as well. All and all, I would recommend it!! I Just submitted my acceptance into the DPT program for 2016!!

Just calculated the out of state tuition for UVM and there's no way I can justify going there. I thought it would be really fun to live in Burlington too! Oh well, i guess I'll just take a vacation there! If anyone is wait-listed there is one more spot open!

I don't blame you. I'm in state and it will still run me a good 80K

I've just calculated the out-state tuition for 3 yrs, and it is $1,443/creditX103credit

=$148,629. Did I calculate it right? It sounds like an astronomical number to me 😱

Is anyone definitely attending UVM in June? I'm looking at trying to get an apartment around the Burlington area but prices for singles are insane! I was hoping to find one or two people from our class to rent with. Send me a message if you are interested!

I will be there but not renting. Rent in Burlington is very high. If living downtown is not important to you, I would suggest looking in Essex or Colchester where the housing costs are much lower.
