Mine is set for 12/12.

Who else has a UW interview scheduled? Any ideas on how many people they are interviewing this year and how many people are interviewed on a given day?

Good luck everyone!

they usually interview about 150/yr but i think it went up to almost 200 last year due to the amount of applicants. they interview in groups of 4, two days a week.

good luck to you, too!

I am just starting to get a little worried whether or not I will receive an interview at UW. I have three friends now who have received interviews which is great, but the thing that worries me is that I sent my secondary back at least a week before any of them (I even paid ~$30 to overnight both the check and the other info). Also two of them aren't even from Washington, they're from Idaho. What do you think, am I overreacting? Also what exactly are the determining factors at UW for an interview? One of my friends has a 3.7 GPA with a 21/18/25 (AA/TS/PAT) and is a Washington resident. Another has a 3.4 GPA 19/18/25 and is from Idaho. And the last is trying to matriculate without a bachelors and has a 3.85 and 21/21/20 and is also from Idaho. Like I said all three have received interviews. Also none of their extracurricular activities (ie. shadowing, research, service, ect) are above average. Basically what I want to know is, for those that have received interviews is there anything beyond your GPA and DAT scores that you would specifically attribute your invite to. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

are you now a washington state resident? if so, you are not competing with your 2 friends from idaho since uw sets aside a certain amount of seats for the WICHE candidates. make sense? so basically, don't worry just yet. according to one of the adcoms they were late in inviting and starting their interviews for this cycle.

GOOD LUCK!

Thanks for the input I really appreciate it. I just thought they would interview in-state before out-of-state. Also I did not think that Idaho was included in WICHE

I'd call or email the school just to double check that they have received all of your application materials. You have great stats so I would think you would have an excellent chance and should definitly receive an interview.

Good luck.

I have already checked and everything is in, but thanks for the encouragement

Wait, when are you taking the DAT? You said mid-June?
I'm a current 1st year at UW, a Washington state resident, and I graduated from BYU-Provo.

With your GPA you should definitely get in, as long as you do well on the DAT.

If you have questions, feel free to PM me.
