UW OMFS Non-Categorical Internship — Immediate Opening
The University of Washington Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery has an immediate opening for a non-categorical internship (NCI) position. We are seeking a qualified candidate to start as soon as possible.
This 12-month program is designed for dentists preparing to apply to OMS residency who want an additional year of hands-on training beyond dental school. The NCI is integrated into full-scope OMS patient care — responsibilities are commensurate with categorical OMS interns — based primarily at Harborview Medical Center, the only Level 1 trauma center in the Pacific Northwest, with additional experience at the UW School of Dentistry's Northwest Center for Oral and Facial Surgery. A limited rotation at Seattle Children's Hospital may also be available.
The intern will train alongside categorical OMS residents in the program's full didactic curriculum and have access to research opportunities, with publication encouraged (though not required).
