I take Step I on June 6th and currently have 1000 UW questions left. Based on my schedule I made, I have 10 more days of doing two UW blocks (92 questions), which leaves me with 80 UW questions left to do at the end of those 10 days. I was originally going to take the NBME #7 practice exam two weeks prior, but now I'm wondering if I should do those extra 80 UW questions that I'll have left over instead of the NBME #7 test. The rest of my days are pretty much booked with other studying, so it's either I do the NBME #7 test or the remaining 80 UW questions. What do you think I should do?

I vote NBME 7....but couldnt you do 8 extra questions of UW a day as well? That would take like 20-30 max and that way you could do both.

UWorld is super easy... NBME 6/7 are good

If you're taking the new form then I'd work on 11/12...

Would you reschedule your exam if you didn't like your NBME result?

If not, there's no point in taking it. You should just study hard with those UW questions to try to get a high score.

taking an NBME won't help you learn anything.

ppl have been talking about seeing repeats from NBMEs on the real exam. Thats the reason why i lean towards doing NBME7.

When you answer enough questions, you always feel like you see repeats. I took my "comprehensive final" yesterday which is basically 40 NBME questions spanning the full year for each of our 6 classes and I felt like I saw repeats from uworld or kaplan.

I'd still do NBME 7, especially if you have expanded feedback. It is more valuable during those last few days to bring your weak areas up to snuff than to continually shotgun blast learn.

I had a similar deal recently.. I realized that I bought UWSA 1 and 2 when I purchased a year subscription, so now I don't know whether I should take 11+7+f150, or take 11+UWSA#+f150, or UWSA#+11+f150.

I've already paid the cash to do the free150 at the testing site, so.... I'm also only going to have enough time to do 2 assessments prior to D-day.

Whatcha think?
