Hey there, I've been lurking for awhile, and have a situation that prompted me to finally register....

So I was checking my AADSAS, and I found a notice saying that UW doesn't have my official DAT scores. Thinking this was really weird because EVERY other school I applied to has them, I gave UW a call today. I actually got through to someone in the admissions office, which seems to be easier said than done.

The good news: They actually have my DAT scores, and must have been an error that my AADSAS said they didn't have them.

The bad news: They don't seem to have my secondary.

I mailed my secondary the third week in August, and the application fee check was cashed a few days later (I'm in Seattle, so it didn't have far to go). The admissions officer said they must have misplaced or lost my secondary, and have failed to notify me or my AADSAS profile. It has simply said that my file is under review. One of my roommates sent her secondary in the same day as I did, and they received hers just fine. The admissions officer told me to call back next week to give them some time to find it.

Needless to say, I'm pretty frustrated by the whole thing. Any brilliant suggestions on what to do if they do/don't find it within the next week? I still have the essays and stuff, and I can fill out all the forms again.....but that would just be putting me back a few weeks, if not a month or so in the review process.

Whew....sorry for being long-winded...

Easy, turn it in again. If you're in Seattle..
1) I'd reprint your essays
2) Turn it in directly to Kathy or whoever is there
3) Tell them the situation and ask to refill out the info/criminal back check/etc.

Good Luck!

This is also a good reason to ALWAYS photocopy the whole secondary package before sending it off. I always also send it with confirmation that way the office signs for it. This way I always have proof of who in the office sign for the application. It has never failed me. Best of luck with the process. UW is the best!!
