I've been doing UWorld Step 2 IM questions in preparation for my IM shelf on Thursday... but I'm a little worried because my percentages have been much lower than my Step 1 study.

Could you post what percentage you are/were getting on UWorld questions prior to your IM shelf and then your real score on the shelf? Is anyone else concerned that they are not doing well on UW questions? What percentages are you guys getting? I'm in the 50's mostly... showing 30's for percentiles...

I have absolutely no way to gauge my knowledge at this point, and I just want to be sure I am in range to pass... any help would be appreciated! 🙁

I haven't taken the shelf yet (take it this friday) but right now I'm 10% lower than my Step I percentage. Most of the people I have talked to in my class are also about 10% lower than there average from step I as well. I don't think your scores are anything to worry about. Remember that the question bank is mostly used by 4th years in preparation for Step II.

I'm not scoring as well either but I think you have to keep in mind that its early in the year, likely everyone's 1st or 2nd rotation and the UWORLD avg's are those of M4's who've been through a year of wards and shelf exams. Plus, you only have so much time to prepare for the Int Med shelf when you're going in to the hospital everyday compared w/ most students getting at least a month off to study for Step II.
