As I sit here procrastinating studying for my final, I just thought of a question. How good is UWorld at "catching" the knowledge that I don't pick up during pre-clinical years? As a resource, will it help fill all the gaps in my medical knowledge when I start studying for step? I currently use FA and Pathoma cause my school does NBME testing.

Partially yes, it's used as a learning tool. The explanations are more important than the questions themselves most of the time.

Pathoma is like a foundation builder, and FA is like a quick reference/encyclopedia. UWorld helps you with the applying your knowledge rather than passively reading/learning it, so it's a great complement to the other two. I'd say they all have their strengths and weaknesses. I know many people who utilize another Qbank in addition to UWorld. There are other sources of questions and material like Osmosis, even some apps I found through instagram that are free and let you take tests. Oh and the app/game Prognosis.
