hey canadian applicants.
i have a question about Western's application.
they state:

"If there is information which you wish to bring to the attention of the Admissions Committee to assist its members in the assessment of
your qualifications, please present it briefly on 8 1/2" x 11" paper and include it with your application."

So is that a personal statement/essay?

No, it is only for a situation where your academic performance has been effected by unexpected circumstances so you can explain about it. I have spoken to the admissions advisor at UWO and she said you can submit a resume if you want, but it will not influence their evaluation. As I said before, Canadian schools are 'acadmically focused' schools in terms of admissions are concerned.

same as the above post - UWO will not use this to assess you unless there are extenuating curcumstances, like a disability, or traumatic experience that affected your academics.

too bad, eh? wouldn't it be nice if they knew more about us other than a number?
