I just recieved a letter telling me I'm #7 on the WA ranked alternate list. I'm excited but not so sure I should celebrate yet. I've read that all the ranked applicants from WA usually get in. Is this true? 😕 Is anyone else on this list?

Furthermore,

the UW consistently accepts 25-30 people a year from the waitlist. There is no chance that you will not get in. I was on the unranked waitlist last year, so I learned ALOT about UW's waitlist and how it moves. So if I were you I would pop open a few bottles of champagne right now! 😀

I'm a little farther down on the list (16), and keep hearing I should get in, but still am really really nervous. 16 people is a lot and the UW is a top school. Are there any accepted UW people out there who think they might be withdrawing? It's just a little nerve racking when all you see is ecstatic people who are accepted.

I know exactly what you mean. I guess I'll start celebrating once I have that big white envelope in my hot little hands.
