What state do you think is better to practice in? Maryland or Virginia?
Some issues im comparing are: Opportunities to expand, patient pool, taxes, benefits for dentists, differences in tax write-offs, etc. any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

wow, i get no love in this forum.

no one has anything about any state?

Ive practiced in Virginia 15 years. The reason you arent getting replys is that there are practically NO differences business wise between MD and VA. From a business perspective really the only differences between states is whether or not a state charges state income tax and for those few states that dont, it's usually recaptured elsewhere. I think the bottom line for practice locale is where do you want to live. It's mainly a lifestyle issue. One must also study the supply of dentists in a given area when deciding to locate, especially if a "cold start up" is anticipated.
