Vacation Time is plastic surgery

Hi,

I am a canadian student, and I am very interested in plastics. I have loved all the surgeries that I shadowed, and really like reconstructive stuff too. One thing I don't seem to be able to get an answer on is vacation time. I know typically surgeons only get 3-4 weeks vacation a year, but if plastics has the option of going private can't they take more?

If you are private practice, you can take as much time as you want, that's just time you aren't making money.
