vapor pressure and melting point

when vapor pressure = atm pressure the substance starts to boil. So when you raise vapor pressure you are in fact getting closer to atm pressure therefore it will start boiling faster.

When a substance melt freezes it has to deal with heat of fusion, not heat of vaporization. So I would say that vapor pressure has nothing to do with freezing/melting point.
