About two weeks ago, I was invited to interview at NSUCOM. My interview date is scheduled for 2/28. I noticed, however, that there were many invited to interview after me who received dates in January as well as dates earlier in February. So... I was wondering, do you think it is possible that my interview was purposely scheduled for after the Texas match (where we find out if we were accepted at any of the schools in which we interviewed, and if we "matched" with our first choice) since I did, in fact, interview at one schools within the Texas system?

Originally, I couldn't figure out why my interview date was pushed out so far, but now this actually makes perfect sense. It would give NSUCOM two weeks to fill my slot, should I actually get in here in Texas (where the medical school tuition is a whopping $10K/year) and prevent me from having to secure a slot that I potentially would not take if I got into my state school. What do y'all think?

Okay, well, im having the same question about this interview invitation scheduling business myself ...

if your TX school thing is the reason for which you are pushed to end of Feb., then what is the reason for which my interview is on the middle of Feb.?

To give you time to interview and/or find out if you are accepted at the Uni of Alabama SOM?? What's the process in your state?

Im still waiting to hear from UASOM about an interview, as evidently the adcoms there havent met nor reviewed my secondary. i called up the school, and evidently, its policy not to reveal when the adcoms meet, because they themselves dont know even. i guess adcoms decide to randomly meet at UASOM .... but, i am really hoping i get an interview there in Jan. so that it would serve a dual reason of hearing back early and being chill if i get in .. and if i dont get in, then it definitely would serve as a prep for my NSU interview, which I really wanna do well in because I love everything about it (I have a friend who goes there and she loves it, and Ive heard nothing but excellent things about the school .. in addition to reading about it on SDN and the NSU website ... i'd have to say it prolly has more facilities/opps than UASOM lol) ...
