Who applied to VCOM postbacc for 2014-15 semester? did you hear back from them? any current students that will like to share their experiences with VCOM postbacc?

I know there is threads on this topic but couldnt find anything recent.

I applied! I officially completed my application packet around February 18. I'm still waiting to hear back from them...hopefully soon!
 
Nice! I applied around Jan 10 and still waiting. Are you a Virginia resident?
 
Hey guys, Nice that this thread is updated, I applied around Feb 5th, Some lady estimated around 5 to 6 weeks,
its been past that but i see others haven't received word yet.
 
I was also told 5 weeks, I didnt hear of anyone being accepted either
 
I applied in mid February but still no word. Did anyone hear back yet??
 
This is taking a really long time, I have yet to receive any response, Hopefully word comes this week

Haha I'm in the same boat. Hopefully we'll hear back within the next couple of weeks or so..
 
Is anyone able to get in touch with anyone at VCOM to check status of their application? I tried calling but it goes straight Mrs. Hewitt's voicemail and no luck with emails either.
 
They might be busy due to the influx of applications at this time, and they usually respond to the emails within 2-3 days, but like said it might take longer now that its a busy time of the year.
 
Anyone get accepted yet, I talked to someone today who got accepted and they applied mid-march.
I'm still waiting, hopefully word comes soon
 
yea he's the only one I heard of so far, I really hope tommorrow will be the day
 
Still waiting... did anybody contact the admissions office? any recent news?
 
I have yet to get any response, wtf this has got to be the worst admission process. They gave me an estimation time of 5 weeks, its been way past that.
 
i think they typed weeks instead of months because so after its been almost 3 months of waiting
 
I get my hopes up every week it seems like the decision will never come out
 
Has anyone tried sending them an email to see what's going on? I tried calling them but they never pick up,
it's pointless trying to call them.

I think so, but I also heard from a current postbacc student that they are short-staffed in the admissions office so maybe thats why its taking long

i just hope this waiting period is worth the wait
 
yea hope we get the good news very soon, did you apply to any other places?
 
LECOM, Case Western, Wake Forest, Barry, TCMC and VCOM. wbu?
 
I only applied to VCOM, which one is your first choice?
 
I applied to Vcom because i haven't taken my Mcat before i applied, hopefully that won't affect my application
 
I was eligible to apply to VCOM because the MCAT is not required and its my top, Im planning on taking it in the summer

Nope, but the deadline to apply to the program is this thursday, so I dont know if that means decisions will be coming out after thursday
 
I have been accepted, I know of two other people that have also been accepted and will be attending.
 
I applied in February and still haven't heard back. A few of the VCOM students I know that did post bacc said that they didn't hear back until May though so I wouldn't worry 🙂

Hey everyone! I just got my acceptance into the program yesterday! Does anyone know what day classes will actually start? I guess I need to start looking for an apt hahaha 😛

I believe it starts sometime late july. When did you apply ?

I applied in March but my lazy professors took their sweet time getting my letters of recommendation in so it was early April when all my materials were sent in. But I was accepted provisionally as long as a pass all my courses this semester. I'm sure everyone will be hearing back soon.
 
I got accepted on Monday. Applied in December and got my response about a week after submitting my MCAT scores which I got back on April 22nd.
 
I think they are reviewing the applications of those who took their MCAT before those who haven't.
