SERIOUSLY...HOW COME I HAVENT HEARD FROM VCU YET.......MY ADEA AADSAS SAYS " recieved/ under review) ... i applied june 1st...my application was not complete til july 22nd. because my schools were super lazy to send my transcript to adea aadsas... i had to keep going to my school to resend... until they actually got it... well anyways .. it was mailed July 22nd.. and i think vcu recieved it july 25th... anyways... now its september 13th and i havent heard anything.... i am pretty sad...i hate waiting... 🙁 what do i do....? oh welll... watever i guesss... i just feel down. anyone please comment tell me anything. i feel sad.

I submitted on June 1st.. and everything was sent out on July 4th. I have not heard anything either! No worries, be patient 🙂 good luck!

dont worry. VCU is a school that choose its candidates very carefully. They look at your app carefully. They really take their time lol.

my decision status for vcu changed on AADSAS to "received/under review 7/28/11" on 8/19/11. lol! WHAT the eff are they doin' over there?? i feel your pain dude.

still probably 6 weeks left to get a pre december interview, and there are usually several spots remaining after that plus the D.5. your application timing was early and won't hurt you.

Thank u for making me feel a bit better ...everyone is soo great here....good luck to everyone and hope u all get into the school u want...if not then at least to one school so we all dont waste a year.....vcu is my top school... Went to vcu. so its in state for me...and I am soooooo ready to restore teeth...taking toooooooo long 🙁...

God bless u all and hopefully we all get into a school....so by next year this time dental schooool 🙂

Just got an email today 9/14 saying my application is under review...

Also said they will notice interview by snail mail and change AADSAS status to interview

Keep on waiting is my best suggestion

Question: Does anyone know if the interviewer (Dr. Healy) has any say in the interview process post interview? As in, does he look over the application to say who gets an interview or is it a whole different committee?

You should call them. Just leave a voice mail says that you got an interview and would like to schedule. They will call you back right away. 🙂

I interviewed at VCU on Tuesday (9/27). I submitted AADSAS 8/15, and status was changed to "Invite for Interview" on 9/2. It made me feel confident, and I'm not saying this to rub it in to anyone who hasn't heard yet, especially since I sent my stuff out relatively late. But it was my first interview, and I was nervous! VCU is my top choice so I wish I had had the opportunity to interview somewhere else first to get a feel for the process. Anyways, I'm hoping that despite being nervous, everything will work out. I applied to 12 schools, and as of today, I still have only one other interview (Midwestern, AZ..Nov. 30). So I feel everyone's pain - it is super frustrating to not have any updates day after day. Good luck to everybody and hopefully everything will work out for us all!!

VCU is my number 1 choice and my AADSAS still says "Received Application/Complete" since 7/12 and I was in the first batch... I have already been invited for 4 interviews, but this is the one I'm looking forward to the most!

Do you think it's too early to start worrying on not getting an interview from VCU? I was really hoping for a pre-Dec one...
