damn... i hate waiting, I had an interview with VCU on Dec. 2 and I've been waiting, didn't get any notification in Feb. so now its up to the March offers... gosh...hopefully something will go through...I'm banking everything on VCU, NO.1 Choice! anyone in the same boat?

hey,
i'm pretty much in the same boat here, i'm on two waitlists and am still waiting on vcu to pull through for me. the only difference is that i interviewed in october so i didnt make the december or february cuts. i feel like i've lost hope at this point but we'll see what happens. good luck to you!

Count me in for the ride. Interviewed in November and didn't make the December or Feb. cuts either. All my eggs are in VCU's basket!

I have been accepted elsewhere, but i think that VCU is still my first choice. From what i hear, the waitlist is a pretty good place to be for out of state applicants.

So if I'm not accepted in the March rounds, am I automatically waitlisted or do they weed out some people and waitlist the rest?

Hey guys count me in as well...like Csv, November interview and no dice. Are you all in or out-of-state? I'm not sweating since the out-of-state waitlist moves really well...awesome school

Count me in too!! I interviewed in Nov. VCU is my top choice, I didn't make dec cut but I really thought VCU would come through in Feb...and now I'm waiting for march and I'm starting to lose hope. I should have been much more aggressive with the other schools at which I interviewed, but I really had all my eggs in VCU...let's hope they don't let me down. One more month left!! Best of Luck

I'm pretty sure VCU works as follows

There are two waitlists: one in-state, one out-of-state
instate waitlist moves slower than out of state
both are ranked

Following interview, everyone is ranked and placed in their respective pools. Right around the decision times (dec, feb, mar), top couple people from each list are pulled for acceptances from each list.

During each period dec-feb, feb-mar, the number of interviewees accumulate on the lists. No one is rejected until post march i think. After March, I depending on where you are ranked and which list you're on, there will be varying movement.

I think that's the way it works. I'm currently waiting for March as well after missing February so I might not have it down pat.

Anyways good luck to all. Cya in March.

i interviewed in September at VCU and have been waiting since...how many people are accepted each time around? and also-- i know that some people have gotten rejections; does that guarantee that those on hold will either be accepted or waitlisted?

They do reject before march. In fact, if they are gonna reject you, they do it about a week after the interview. If not, you wait for each round of acceptances and if you are not given a spot, you are automatically moved into the waitlist after march.

Ah I see. I've been in somewhat of a waitlist blur so the refresher was appreciated. Thanks.
