Originally did your AADSAS status say "Received/Under Review" or did it say "Received/Application Complete"? And of course congratulations!

I didn't have anything on my AADSAS, and then just one day I got an invitation in my mailbox. Two weeks later, my AADSAS said "Invited for Interview."

I'm in the same boat! My AADSAS status had said: "Received/Application Complete" for the past couple months. Saturday morning it changed to "Invited for Interview"!! So I hope to find a letter in the mail soon.

No but I got a interview invite yesterday- Nov. 8th

My status says Received/Application complete from past 1 month or so. Which status is better? under review or application complete? i would guess under review comes after application complete...so i still have a long way to go until i hear good/bad news from them?

A little off-topic but I would really appreciate it if the people who interviewed this cycle at VCU could post their experience in the interview feedback! So far there has only been one feedback from this cycle and I know there are more of you out there 😉

bringing this thread from the dead....i haven't checked aadsas for a few days now but it now says "invited for interview". a little late in the cycle, but its an interview nonetheless. have heard nothing but good things about VCU here on SDN. still nothing in the mail, but the past few days have been the holidays.

anyone else get a recent invite from VCU? anyone got the inside word as to how filled up their class is so far?

It was definitely a strange conversation - "well, looking at your file, and assuming that you know the average numbers of our incoming class, your GPA is below average, your DAT is average, and your extracurriculars and dental experience are lacking with our expectations." I understand the GPA part of it, but the rest ? I was thinking, "What the ... ?"

well i'm like you....5 interviews (3 pre dec) and still no acceptances. you had yours all before dec so you are prob in better shape than i am.

i can talk normal and i don't pick my nose at my interviews. why aren't they taking me either!?!?

I am currently a student at VCU and I love it here well I am not in grad. but I am in undergrad and I am going to be applying to dental school. I am still figuring out what I can do to improve my chances of being accepted to VCU Dental Program since they are my 1st choice.


VCU is probably one of the best in the country!!

For those of you who have already interviewed at VCU, do you all know at about what time the interview ends? My flight leaves at 4:45 PM for Boston and I'm worried that I may have just screwed up big time.

if you have to leave early, you can, but you'll miss out on some stuff. Just make sure Dr. Healy knows you need to leave early because he may want to talk to you instead of you going to assist.

Do you think I should email him and notify him or just wait and tell him while I'm there? Thanks for the comments. BTW, I'm totally confused as to why they are even considering me for an interview when they could accept you and your stats are way better then mine IMO. I can't imagine that they won't accept you this second time around.
