Has anyone interviewed here for Neuro this year? I have an interview there and I am contemplating canceling it based on what I am hearing from residents at other programs who interviewed there and other med students. Seems the program/department is in bad shape, residents aren't happy, lots of talk but no action in making things better for residents, residents unhappy/disgruntled and either looking for spots at other programs or have left the program.

Just curious if others have heard of this or had similar experience. Not sure I want to pay to travel there when I might not even rank them if this is true.

Can only tell you about my interview experience....but I didn't really get a good gut feeling from it. They were pretty open about telling me the program was in pretty bad shape a few years ago but things have been improving steadily. On paper, they seem to have a lot of activities, conferences, etc that give the program what appears to be a heavy resident-education focus. Most of the residents seemed content. They universally thought the consult service can be overwhelming at times, but seemed satisfied otherwise. The facilities were pretty nice as well.

This simply my brief impression.....
