VCU priority score and interview "hold"?

Just got a message from VCU saying that "we are interested in your candidacy but due to our large number of applicants this year we may not be able to interview all the candidates at your priority score. We will notify you later by email if we can". I was complete rather late(12/1)

Has anyone(out of state) who has completed the secondary been given an actual rejection, or right now are there just two piles: those who get an interview and those who get this post-secondary "interested but may not be able to interview" email?

Just wanted to remind those of you on the interview hold.... If you don't hear from them in 6 weeks, call them and ask them if they have any slots. My friend was on hold for 8 weeks and I told her to call them if she was still interested. She called and they had an open slot that week. Mind you this was in April. She was accepted 2 weeks later, although she choose to go to EVMS.

I'm an out-of-stater and I got that same message, Two days later, they offered me an interview. Strange but true.

I am an out of stater and received that message also. Less than a week later they also gave me an interview date for the end of January.

cool....at least there is hope. I wonder what % of out of staters interviewed they don't "hold" first. How many VCU out of staters have gone straight from the secondary to interview invitation phase without a hold?

I'm an out of stater and went straight from secondary to interview and then acceptance at VCU. I think I was complete the beginning of September, interviewed on October 2, and was accepted October 15. Everything happened very fast.

I was on hold since september. Just today, I got an interview. So, I guess it really is a "hold" status to wait and see how the class pans out.

Also, I was on hold last year and never got an interview. So, go figure. Best of luck to you.
