Hey all you VCUers, I've got a question. On my status page, ever since it was complete, I get a notice like this:

Please note that your file may be put on hold for several reasons:

Hold for MCAT means that we are assuming you are taking the test in August. The committee wishes to wait to evaluate your file until those scores are available.

Hold for Grades is used in two different situations. The first is from the file review done by the committee. In that review they have determined that you are engaged in coursework which may affect their decision about whether to invite you for an interview. It is imperative that you submit grades for current or proposed courses in a timely fashion. Any file on hold for grades that are not submitted by January 31st will automatically be rejected. The second situation, while rare, occurs when the committee is discussing your application after interview and determines that their decision will be impacted by new grades. If you have been interviewed and this status appears on the web, please call the office and speak with Agnes Mack, or Dr. Cynthia Heldberg to determine what information the committee needs.

Does everyone get this notice or is it just those who are actually held for August MCAT scores? Thanks!

We all get that notice. It was on the bottom of my status page too, and i wasn't an august mcater.
